General Labour – Office Furniture Manufacturing
Location: North York, ON
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent
Position Overview
Our client, a leading office furniture manufacturing company in North York, is currently hiring General Labour workers for their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to build experience in manufacturing and learn specialized skills in furniture assembly and upholstery.
Training will be provided in furniture assembly, upholstery support, and other production-related duties.
Responsibilities
- Assist with assembly of office furniture products
- Support upholstery department with material handling and preparation
- Load, unload, and move materials throughout the production floor
- Use basic hand and power tools safely
- Package and prepare products for shipping
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies
- Perform other general labour and production duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is an asset
- Willingness to learn furniture assembly and upholstery skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- CSA safety shoes required
