Lubexx Enterprises o/a Jiffy Lube is hiring a Divisional Controller. Based in our South Edmonton office, the successful candidate will oversee daily accounting operations and help ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. This position offers the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment and contribute to a variety of interesting projects across multiple companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage weekly, monthly, and annual financial close and reporting processes
- Prepare and present financial statements and related reporting packages
- Complete account reconciliations and supporting working papers
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of operational and financial data
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting policies and internal controls
- Coordinate annual review and Notice to Reader engagements for multiple companies
- Conduct account analysis, investigations, and financial reviews
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Oversee inventory accounting within a manufacturing environment
- Participate in inventory counts and reconciliation processes
- Prepare and file corporate remittances, including GST, installments, WCB, and other regulatory filings
- Support ongoing process improvements and additional finance-related projects as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior-level accounting role
- Degree in Business Administration or Commerce
- CPA designation is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Experience analyzing detailed financial data and preparing forecasts
- Working knowledge of federal, provincial, and local tax compliance requirements
- Experience working in a multi-company environment is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, filters, and pivot tables
- Knowledge of Adagio accounting software is an asset
