World Gym can be traced back to the glory days of Muscle Beach in Los Angeles, California. In 1976, Joe Gold opened a small gym filled with custom-made equipment. Before long, World Gym was the fitness destination for celebrity bodybuilding greats such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno and Dave Draper. By the early 1980s, World Gym was firmly established as a global fitness icon. The brand expanded worldwide and is now in full swing, fueled in large part by convenient, affordable memberships.
In 2017, World Gym Southland opened and has become one of Calgary's best gyms in the south! With over 500+ member visits a day, we are looking for cleaners with a passion for cleanliness and great attention to detail. As we continue to grow in 2024, our cleaning team will have more opportunities for hours and growth.

Hours Available:
- Monday to Friday 7:00pm - 10pm
- Saturday, Sunday 7:00pm - 10pm.
- Extra hours may become available, but are not guaranteed.
Duties Include:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum gym floors regularly to maintain cleanliness and remove any debris.
- Clean and disinfect male & female restrooms, showers, locker areas and saunas to meet high cleanliness standards.
- Empty trash bins and replace liners, ensuring proper disposal of waste throughout the facility.
- Wipe down surfaces, including but not limited to countertops, mirrors, windows, and walls, to eliminate dust and smudges.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, notifying management when supplies need to be reordered.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols to uphold a consistent level of cleanliness.
- Respond promptly to any cleaning-related requests or issues from gym staff or members.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Secure the facility after hours by ensuring doors are locked.
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel for prompt resolution.
- Uphold a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with gym members and staff.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the gym management to contribute to the overall cleanliness and functionality of the facility.
Cleaning Equipment:
- All equipment & cleaning supplies will be taken care of
Note:
- You will be required to enter both Male changerooms during business hours when members are in the facility.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
