We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to support our healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves assisting licensed physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans, preparing patients for therapy sessions, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for recovery. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical terminology and experience in hospital or acute care settings, demonstrating a commitment to improving patient outcomes through compassionate support and efficient assistance.
Duties
- Assist physiotherapists with patient assessments and therapy sessions
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use
- Support patients with exercises and mobility activities as directed by the physiotherapist
- Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes in condition
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans
- Provide excellent patient care by addressing questions and ensuring comfort during therapy sessions
- Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures
Experience
- Prior experience working in a hospital or acute care environment is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and patient care is highly desirable
- Experience supporting patient care activities, including mobility assistance and exercise supervision, is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team are essential
- Certification or training related to healthcare assistance is a plus but not mandatory

Pay: $17.60-$22.00 per hour
