Join our dynamic Steel Fabrication team as a CNC Equipment Operator and play a critical role in the safe, efficient, and accurate processing of steel components. In this role, you will operate assigned CNC fabrication equipment to process and prepare steel components in accordance with engineering drawings, production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
You will work closely with Weld Shop Coordinators, Supervisors, Welders, and other fabrication team members to maintain efficient production flow and ensure components are accurately completed, identified, and staged for downstream fabrication and assembly operations.

Duties
- Safely operate assigned CNC fabrication equipment in accordance with operating procedures and manufacturer specifications.
- Review fabrication drawings, cut lists, work orders, and production schedules to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Verify material type, dimensions, and specifications before processing.
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments within the scope of training and qualifications.
- Maintain production targets while ensuring quality standards are achieved.
- Support production schedules by ensuring components are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with Weld Shop Coordinators, Weld Shop Supervisors, Welders, and other fabrication personnel to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Properly identify, label, and stage completed components for downstream operations.
- Maintain organized material flow and inventory within assigned work areas.
- Perform routine inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and compliance with fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Identify non-conforming materials or components and report issues promptly.
- Maintain quality records and production documentation as required.
- Participate in quality initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections prior to operation.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance activities.
- Report equipment malfunctions, mechanical concerns, or maintenance requirements to supervision.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized workstations.
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and immediately report safety concerns.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience operating fabrication, CNC, manufacturing, or industrial equipment is preferred.
- Experience interpreting fabrication drawings, work orders, or production documentation is preferred.
- Steel fabrication experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Understanding of measurement tools and dimensional inspection techniques.
- Basic computer skills for equipment operation and production documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
- Reliable and accountable with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an industrial steel fabrication environment.
- Regular exposure to heavy equipment, moving materials, noise, sparks, and active fabrication processes.
- Medium to high physical demands, including handling materials weighing approximately 20–100 lbs.
- Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and material handling.
- Required use of PPE.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Pay: $25.00-$36.00 per hour
