Position and Responsibilities

Working with the environmental affairs group at the corporate office in Saskatoon, you will be responsible for providing support to the Environmental Affairs team within SHEQ & Regulatory Relations while advancing knowledge and skills in energy management, GHG emission management and reporting, environmental management systems, and environmental assessment.

The successful candidate will work an eight-month term from January to August. Students pursuing studies during this time but that are able to work part-time hours (minimum 60%) or fulfil a shorter term will also be considered.

Education and Qualifications

You will be entering your third or fourth year as a university student specializing in environmental sciences, environmental engineering, or a related field. Students pursuing their Master’s program may also be considered. Excellent communication, data analysis and compilation, and organization skills are required. You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.

This position is located in Saskatoon with occasional trips to the northern Saskatchewan sites.

Safety is a top priority at Cameco. Successful candidates for all positions that will involve work at Safety-Sensitive Sites or in Safety-Sensitive Positions must take and pass a Substance Test, which includes marijuana, as a condition of employment.
