General Construction Labourer

The Opportunity
EMBERS Staffing is hiring General Construction Labourers for active job sites across the Surrey region. If you are reliable, physically capable, and take pride in showing up ready to work, this is a straightforward opportunity to get on site and stay busy.
Shifts are available on a temporary, on-call, and contract basis, with ongoing opportunities across Surrey, White Rock, Coquitlam and Port Moody as projects come in.
What You'll Be Doing
- Loading and unloading construction materials and safely transporting them across job sites
- Assisting skilled tradespeople with tools, equipment, and day-to-day site tasks
- Performing site setup, cleanup, and demolition work as directed
- Working at heights when required, following all fall protection protocols and WorkSafeBC safety standards
- Keeping the job site organized and hazard-free throughout the workday
- Following all health and safety regulations and site-specific requirements without exception
What You Need
- Minimum 1 year of construction labour experience (required)
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and comfortable bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in varying conditions
- Dependable and punctual — crews count on you to show up and pull your weight
- Fall Protection Certification (preferred — candidates with this will be prioritized)
- Additional machinery or safety certifications are a strong asset
