About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dental Office Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient and insurance accounts to ensure timely and accurate collection of payments. You will play a key role in supporting the financial health of our dental practice by processing outstanding insurance and patient balances, resolving billing discrepancies, maintaining accurate account records while delivering excellent customer service and crossover duties for reception coverage ass needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Submit, track, and follow up on outstanding dental insurance claims.
- Investigate and resolve unpaid, denied, delayed, or underpaid insurance claims.
- Follow up on all outstanding balances regardless of account size.
- Prepare and send patient statements and billing communications.
- Communicate with patients regarding account balances, payment plans, and billing inquiries.
- Contact insurance carriers to resolve claim issues and payment discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate patient financial records within Paradigm practice management system.
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and identify outstanding balances requiring action.
- Assist with accounts receivable reporting and analysis as requested.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, privacy regulations, and dental billing guidelines.
- Collaborate with front desk, clinical team members, and management to resolve account issues.
- Assist management with additional accounts receivable-related projects and tasks.
- Provide support with reception and cross-clinic administrative duties as required.
- Follow up with management upon completion of assigned tasks.
- Report uncollectible accounts, collection efforts made, and reasons for non-collection.
- Complete weekly and monthly accounts receivable follow-up activities using established checklists.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dental accounts receivable, dental billing, or dental administration is required.
- Knowledge of dental insurance claims processing and coordination of benefits.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and account reconciliation skills.
- Proficiency with general computer applications.

Location:
You will be responsible to work in the Scarborough, East York and Downtown Region as required.
Pay: From $22.50 per hour
