Technician Level 2 – Client Support Technician
Our client is hiring for a Technician Level 2 for client support. You must be a self-starter and have the ability to multi-task when working on projects until they are completed. You will be working on customers requirements in a fast paced environment . The position is 40 hours per week and you will work from our client’s office in Salmon Arm.
Required Education and Experience:
- Completion of a two-year related diploma from an accredited Computer Technologist diploma program (Network+ & Security+ would be preferred) or equivalent experience in a related technical field.
- Minimum of two years of recent, successful, and comparable work experience.
- Experience in using analytical skills, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
- Must possess and maintain a valid BC Driver’s License and have a reliable vehicle
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365 administration and PowerShell scripting
- Security conscious and understands security basics
- Demonstrate knowledge on how networking systems work.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with clients and suppliers, both orally and in writing, in an effective, respectful, and professional manner to clarify and exchange technical information.
- Some experience with Linux
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
- Skills and capability to perform job duties requiring strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent documentation and ticket note hygiene
Typical Job Duties
- Level 1 & 2 help desk technician work, including answering phones, software and hardware troubleshooting, onsite troubleshooting, and new system deployments
- Systems administration on Linux servers and Windows servers and desktop computers
- Professional services including server deployments, email migrations, networking, and wiring
WAGE RANGE: $25 to $29 per hour (negotiable on experience) plus additional Benefits
Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
