The Receiver/GH is a diverse roll that is responsible for supporting the kitchen by ensuring deliveries are received in a timely fashion and the dining room cleanliness and organization is maintained throughout the shift. As a Receiver, you will be responsible to be ready when the order arrives to check off the items received, ensuring all items ordered are received. Check for the quality of the product coming in (damages, poor quality, spoiled or bruised product) and reporting to the kitchen manager any discrepancies or poor quality of product coming in . Put the order away in a tidy organized manner making sure we are in compliance with health and safety regulations (eg. nothing on the floor). Keeping storage areas clean and organized. Making sure the receiving area is clean after delivery. Since the role of Receiver is not a full shift, the position also includes GH duties. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: dishwashing; pot washing; sweeping, mopping & cleaning dining area; clearing and wiping tables and chairs Other requirements include practicing safe food handling techniques at all times. Washing all food counters and bag up shelves; Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are demonstrated at all times; Monitors trash levels in all cans-removes when needed, including recyclables.
Shift is 14/7 rotation from 9AM-7PM, wage = $200/day . transportation is provided from Ft McMurray or candidate can drive to site
- Experience an asset
- Must be in good physical condition - lifting and carrying up to 50# & reaching overhead for putting groceries away, as well as standing for long periods.
- Must have Food Safe, WHMIS
- Excellent English communication, understanding, speaking & writing required
- Customer service skills - will require conversations with clients
