Seeking a passionate Part-Time English Tutor to support students in their academic growth.
The successful candidate will help students develop strong reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills in a supportive learning environment.
University students, recent graduates, and experienced tutors are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Assist students with homework and school curriculum
- Prepare and deliver lessons based on student needs
- Support reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary development
- Monitor student progress regularly
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment
- Communicate with staff regarding student progress
Qualifications
- Strong English language and communication skills
- Experience in tutoring or teaching English, especially with children
- Friendly, patient, and responsible
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to commute to our Markham location
- Familiarity with the Ontario Curriculum is an asset
Language Requirements
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills are required
- Native English proficiency is strongly preferred
- Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills are considered an asset
Schedule
- Part-time
- Weekday afternoons
- Occasional weekends
- Flexible schedule based on class enrollment and availability
