Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dishwasher & Kitchen Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring a clean and efficient food preparation environment. This role is essential in supporting our chefs and kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals and exceptional service in a fast-paced setting.
Candidate must be able to:
- Lift / carry 50lbs. Carefully lift and carry heavy items in the kitchen
- Be able to stand for long periods of time
- Work quickly in a hectic environment
- Wash dishes using cold water
- Use hot water for oily items
- Be flexible to changes in priorities as required.
Responsibilities
- Pre sort & pre soak, all items, to ensure an efficient process
- Handwash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, plates, cutlery, kitchen tools, pots, and pans using a 3 compartment sink & a commercial sanitization - dishwasher.
- Load and unload a dishwashing machine safely
- Work with speed, efficiency, and a sense of urgency and safety at all times
- Support opening and closing tasks, including general cleaning, brooming, mopping, flattening cardboard, collect & take out the garbage, clean all wastebins and replace with clean garbage bags.
- Clean washrooms & doors & refill toilet paper, soap and paper towels.
- Follow instructions accurately with consistency and attention to detail. We have a Specific process for organizing, dishwashing, sanitizing and putting away dishes that needs to be followed, as well as leaving the sink and all washing materials clean and organized at the end of the shift.

- Assist with Kitchen deliveries organizing and Food Portioning tasks
- Buss tables and assist with food waste disposal
- Participate in catering event cleaning & breakdowns as needed, contributing to catering events and special functions.
- Set up & Pick up and Lock up Patio tables & Chairs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal service.
Skills
- Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail to maintain a hygienic workspace.
- Experience in bussing, food preparation & general kitchen duties is preferred.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills within a hospitality-focused environment.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations.

Time Flexibility:
- Must be able to work Morning, evening shifts, weekdays and weekends Saturday and Sunday,. Some shifts may be 10 hrs or more
- Must be committed to finish all dishes and leave kitchen clean and patio picked up before leaving, which means some days may be longer than others depending on the restaurant's activity.
Break:
Must take a 30 minutes break, after 5 hrs of work, coordinating with the Head Chef or Sous Chef on the tasks priority and time of the break.
Punctuality is very important
