YOUR OPPORTUNITY:
As an Environmental Student you will get the opportunity to perform a wide range of duties related to aquatic systems at our Oil Sands operations. This position is based at our Albian and Horizon Sites, located North of Fort McMurray and is eligible for:

Company sponsored transportation from your school location to the Horizon site/Calgary at the beginning and end of the work term
**This student opportunity is available as both a 4 month term and an 8 month term beginning May 2019**

HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?
Assist with fisheries monitoring including conducting extensive field work (electrofishing, seining etc.) and the creation of reports
Track and record all field and laboratory data
Contribute to surface water quality monitoring as required
Identify, manage and track terrestrial wildlife to contribute to the success of the wildlife deterrent system
Assist with wildlife regulatory reporting requirements
Collaborate with Environmental Specialists, Regulatory Coordinators, and Academic Researchers during their site work
Generate supporting data and forms for regulatory application submissions
Support the inspection of project facilities for environmental compliance tracking
Undertake project related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently enrolled in your 3rd, or 4th year of a Biology, Natural Science, or Environmental Program
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
Previous ATV and/or watercraft experience considered an asset
Previous environmental or Oil Sands experience considered an asset
