Compensation:
- There is no fixed salary. Physicians bill directly for services provided, depending on the number of patients seen.
- Rates are competitive and discussed during the interview, giving physicians flexibility and control over their income.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide opioid agonist therapy (OAT) and manage clients with opioid use disorder
- Conduct new patient assessments, initiate OAT, and follow up with ongoing care
- Prescribe and manage anti-craving medications for patients with alcohol use disorder if required
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
- Document patient visits accurately and participate in team meetings and discussions
Qualifications:
- Medical degree and valid BC medical license
- Experience or strong interest in addiction medicine preferred
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, treatment planning, and care management
- Compassionate, collaborative, and excellent communication skills
