Fil-Trek is in search of a Machinist to join our exceptional team. Our workshop boasts a remarkable diversity of machinery and materials, including the machining of exotic alloys for parts that are shipped worldwide.
If you're a skilled Machinist with a passion for precision work, +5 years of experience with Vertical Lathes/Boring mill, and enjoy tackling challenging projects, we encourage you to apply.
The Machinist is required to utilize tools like milling machines, lathes and Horizontal & Vertical Boring Mills.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Machine operation, various VMCs, lathes (vertical and horizontal).
- Operating vertical lathes (VTL), and Boring mill
- Set up machine by using proper tools and use most efficient techniques
- Ensure work area is kept clean and safe of hazards
- Review work orders and part drawings for specifications for the job
- Check accuracy of work against W/O and part drawings for specifications
- Maximize efficiencies of production
Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or certification in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Experience Operating vertical lathes (VTL), and Boring mill is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
