Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Human Resources Co-op Student to join our team. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in human resources management within a leading aerospace organization. Responsibilities
- Assist with human capital management activities, including employee onboarding, orientation, and evaluation processes
- Support talent acquisition efforts through sourcing candidates using ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems)
- Participate in employee engagement initiatives and assist with employee relations programs
- Contribute to benefits administration tasks and maintain accurate HR data within HRIS platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors or Oracle HCM
- Help coordinate training & development sessions and assist with performance management processes
- Support change management projects by collecting data, preparing reports, and assisting with communication strategies
- Contribute to compliance efforts related to employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, and affirmative action planning
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Human Resources, Business Administration, or Organizational Development
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across teams and levels
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Basic understanding of HR concepts such as talent management, workforce management, and employee relations
- Proficiency with HRIS systems like Workday, UltiPro, or Paychex is preferred
- Familiarity with project management tools and social media platforms for recruitment purposes is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information professionally and ethically
- Eagerness to learn about employment & labor law compliance, benefits administration, and strategic HR initiatives
