Responsibilities

Lead a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators on portfolio of projects.

Monitor project health and ensure the team members are carrying out the tasks efficiently while upholding company's standards.

Use in-house project management tool for continuous evaluation of projects to ensure Project teams are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.

Conduct research and maintain technical documentation on relevant codes and Smart community services.

Work with clients to define the vision and specifications for the solution.

Review and optimize drawings to accommodate the SmartONE solution.

Lead technical and site meetings to oversee construction activities.

Resolve technical issues that arise due to changes in scope, requirements, and design.

Establish engineering practices for SmartONE product development and ensure quality standards are adhered to within the team.

Assist real estate developers in integrating the SmartONE solution and adjust their scopes of work accordingly.

Identify areas for improvement and lead technical and project management activities to drive process improvements.

Source and integrate products into SmartONE in collaboration with the manufacturing partner and selected supplier/manufacturer.

Lead research on technical feasibility of a new hardware, integration, or service.

Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients.

Establish priorities for product development based on client requirements and market research.

Represent the department as Subject Matter Expert on several Product Development and Improvement Areas.

Establish, manage, and enforce SmartONE Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

Provide leadership and guidance and greenfield projects establishing guidelines and proves to execution.

Document and communicate lessons learned and share relevant information with the engineering team.

Coordinate and Collaborate with various internal and external teams, including Implementation, QA, and customer support, to ensure smooth operation of services in production.
Qualifications
-
An undergraduate or masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related engineering fields or equivalent work experience is required.

8-10 years of experience in project management and/or engineering positions.

Experience reading and understanding construction drawings and Schedules.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proactive and strong presentation skills (virtually and in-person).

Strong scheduling and effective time management skills.

A valid Ontario drivers license and current ownership of a vehicle is required.

MS Office proficiency and experience documenting project tasks, procedures and scheduling is required.

Exceptional leadership, management, communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams

Curiosity about Smart Home Automation and products.
