As a Shipper & Receiver / Inventory Control Associate, you will be a key player in our warehouse operations. You will manage order preparation and stock processing, perform inventory control, and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. Your role will be critical in ensuring our inventory is accurately tracked and our warehouse operates efficiently. This position is more hands on warehouse and little forklift
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Preparation: Prepare, pick and pack orders for delivery or pickup according to the schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship). Ensure accuracy and timeliness in order fulfillment.
- Stock Processing: Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store). Inspect incoming shipments for damage and verify product counts.
- Inventory Control: Perform regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records. Monitor stock levels and place reorders as necessary. Perform cycle counts and participate in physical inventories.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep a clean and safe working environment, including sweeping floors, organizing shelves, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Optimize space utilization and reconfigure storage as needed. Also clearing outside dock area from debris, snow, ice and garbage
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring they are in good working condition. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete diary logs into inventory systems, document product movements, and report any discrepancies or issues. Assist with preparing reports for management.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in safety training and adhere to company safety policies.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all products are handled with care to maintain high-quality standards. Perform quality checks on products before shipping and receiving.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate and cooperate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments. Assist in training new warehouse staff as needed.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or workflow inefficiencies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as a Warehouse Worker.
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems.
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and handle physical tasks.
- Current forklift license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
