About the Job
The Recruitment Specialist is a key role in Coast’s HR department and reports to the Chief HR Officer. This high-volume recruitment position works collaboratively within the HR team and with location Managers. Key duties include full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and administration.
Responsible for the full-cycle recruitment for unionized and exempt positions including the creation of job postings, sourcing candidates, review of the candidate pool, short-listing, pre-screens, interviews, reference checks, and offers.
Source potential candidates assess candidate qualifications using our Applicant Tracking System and report on key metrics.
Complete pre-screen, in-person and virtual interviews, reference checks, and provide summarized recommendations on qualified candidates.
Prepare offer letters and communicate/coordinate all pre-employment paperwork, enter new hires into HRIS system, and provide company on-boarding and new hire orientation training.
Provide coaching and support to team leaders on effective recruitment tools, processes,
Provide training to team leaders as needed on the recruitment process.
Provide new hire orientation training both through online and in-person sessions.
Coordinate with managers and the HR team to identify needs, determine selection criteria, design job description, posting, and interview questions to reflect the position requirements.
Attend/represent the organization at virtual and in-person job fairs, university career days and networking events.
May be required to provide some relief support to HR advisors.
This position will be required to support recruitment at some of our sites across the Lower Mainland, and Fraser Valley. This position will temporarily work remotely and can be based out of the Fraser Valley or Vancouver area.
Education and Experience
2+ years’ demonstrated full-cycle recruitment experience.
Previous experience in high-volume recruitment a key asset
Experience using HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems; integration experience is an asset.
Experience working in a recruitment or staffing agency is considered an asset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven interpersonal and relationship-building skills with candidates.
High degree of initiative and proactivity with the ability to multitask.
Adaptable to change, innovative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent work experience or equivalent experience.
Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check will be required
