Reporting to: Senior Manager, Sales Reconciliations and Senior Manager, Accounting & Finance
Position Summary: The Senior Associate plays a key role in sales reconciliations and accounting operations, while demonstrating strong leadership and communication abilities. This is a dynamic role offering a unique opportunity to drive Financial robustness and strategic alignment with Commercial Operations.
Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:
Sales Reconciliation:
- Assist in Sales Database maintenance in SalesForce for territory and customer updates
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage sales reconciliation processes, investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain customer payment/documentation tracking and rebate accrual systems
- Perform monthly and quarterly customer reports and reconciliations
- Provide regular monthly territory and commission reports to Senior Management
- Communicating with field representatives regularly, providing payment status etc.
- Annual and semi-annual regulatory reporting (RAMQ)
- Partner with Senior Manager in managing key reconciliation activities and coordinating effectively across sales, finance and related teams.
- Backup to Senior Manager, Sales Reconciliations
Accounting:
- Assist in monthly and yearly close - journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis
- Assist in preparing lead sheets and documentation required for audits
- Follow up with Sales Representative/Customer for enquiries and overdue invoices with a customer centric focus
- Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedule
- Preparing ad hoc reports as required by management
Qualifications:
- 3–4 years accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
- Strong preference for candidates with CPA designation or pursuing the accounting designation.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills both oral and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate, influence, and coordinate across cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-growing environment.
- Experience with AI platform and tools is an asset
- Bilingual (English/French) would be an asset
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SalesForce and accounting software
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
