Position Description:
The Financial Analyst plays an important role as part of the corporate team and is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis for a designated corporate group. The analyst works closely with their corporate group SVP in order to provide financial support and insightful analysis
Your future duties and responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide analytical support to Corporate group for budget and forecast process
- Deliver accurate, insightful and timely analysis of financial results against plans, forecast and budget
- CIO : Provide financial support to CPMOs for various projects
- Perform the accounting month-end process
- Analysis of balance sheet entries ensuring balance sheet integrity
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to improve accuracy and drive efficiency
- Complete ad hoc reports/analysis as necessary
- Manage multiple deadlines demonstrating significant attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing demands
- Participate in various projects as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree (BCOMM) in Accounting
- Accounting Designation (CPA) completed or in progress
- Advanced skills with MS Office tools including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent in verbal, written and communication skills in English and French (as this is a global role)
- Action oriented, proactive with high level of accountability for delivering quality work
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in a similar role for 2-4 years
- Experience working closely with upper management
- Experience working with industry software such as PeopleSoft, Hyperion (Oracle) would be considered valuable assets
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information, both structured and unstructured
