Financial Analyst – Corporate EVP & CIO

Position Description:
The Financial Analyst plays an important role as part of the corporate team and is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis for a designated corporate group. The analyst works closely with their corporate group SVP in order to provide financial support and insightful analysis

Your future duties and responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide analytical support to Corporate group for budget and forecast process
  • Deliver accurate, insightful and timely analysis of financial results against plans, forecast and budget
  • CIO : Provide financial support to CPMOs for various projects
  • Perform the accounting month-end process
  • Analysis of balance sheet entries ensuring balance sheet integrity
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to improve accuracy and drive efficiency
  • Complete ad hoc reports/analysis as necessary
  • Manage multiple deadlines demonstrating significant attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Participate in various projects as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BCOMM) in Accounting
  • Accounting Designation (CPA) completed or in progress
  • Advanced skills with MS Office tools including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent in verbal, written and communication skills in English and French (as this is a global role)
  • Action oriented, proactive with high level of accountability for delivering quality work
EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in a similar role for 2-4 years
  • Experience working closely with upper management
  • Experience working with industry software such as PeopleSoft, Hyperion (Oracle) would be considered valuable assets
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information, both structured and unstructured
