Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform order fulfillment tasks including picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks and cranes to load and unload materials safely.
- Utilize AS400 software for tracking inventory and managing orders effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and assist in regular stock checks.
- Fabricate packaging materials as needed to ensure products are securely packaged for transport.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution processes.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, with specific skills in order picking and fulfillment.
- Proficiency in operating reach trucks, cranes, or similar warehouse machinery is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and move items throughout the warehouse efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in order processing.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, particularly AS400, is a plus.
- A commitment to safety standards and practices within the workplace.
