Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ChildCare Supervisor to oversee in-home childcare services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while supporting their developmental needs. Duties
- Supervise and care for children in a home environment, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialization, and development
- Assist with daily routines such as meal preparation, feeding, bathing, and nap schedules
- Monitor children's behavior and provide positive guidance and discipline as needed
- Collaborate with families to understand individual needs, preferences, and care plans
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to children's health and safety
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing appropriate care
- Document daily activities, milestones, and any concerns to share with families or relevant professionals
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience or background working with children preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and caregiving practices
- Strong ability to teach, motivate, and engage children across various developmental stages
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the unique needs of each child
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and team members
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a nurturing manner while maintaining professionalism
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required; willingness to obtain certification is expected
