About the Position
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Part-Time Barista & Kitchen Assistant who is comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment.
The main priority of this position is Front of House. You will be responsible for welcoming customers, taking orders, operating the POS system, preparing beverages, and providing excellent customer service.
During quieter periods when there are no customers to assist, you will also help with kitchen support, cleaning, dishwashing, restocking, and general organization.
Main Responsibilities
Front of House & Barista – Primary Responsibility
- Greet customers and provide friendly and professional customer service
- Take customer orders and operate the POS/cash register
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, and other café beverages
- Serve and package cakes, pastries, and other menu items
- Keep the front counter clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Restock cups, milk, syrups, teas, packaging, and other supplies
- Handle multiple customer orders efficiently during busy periods
Kitchen & Cleaning Support – During Quieter Periods
- Wash dishes and keep the dishwashing area clean and organized
- Clean and organize kitchen work areas
- Restock kitchen and café supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and customer-facing spaces
- Help keep the café and kitchen clean and organized throughout the shift
Opening Duties
- Prepare the front counter and coffee station for opening
- Set up and restock beverage supplies and service items
- Check that the POS and Front of House areas are ready for service
- Make sure the dining area and customer-facing spaces are clean and organized
- Complete other opening tasks needed to ensure the café is ready for customers

- Comfortable with cleaning, dishwashing, and kitchen support duties
- Attentive to cleanliness and food safety standards
- Valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certification
- Minimum 6 months of café, restaurant, or food service experience
- Previous customer service and POS experience
- Barista experience is strongly preferred

Availability
This position includes approximately 3–4 shifts per week.

Pay: $18.25 per hour
