Job Summary
Fairfield by Marriott Salmon Arm hotel is seeking a reliable and hands-on Part-Time Maintenance Person / Pool Operator to join our hotel team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with their hands, and helping keep a property running smoothly for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, etc.)
- Maintain and monitor the hotel swimming pool and hot tub, including water testing and chemical balancing
- Ensure pool area cleanliness and safety compliance
- Conduct regular property inspections and preventative maintenance
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records
- Assist with seasonal maintenance such as snow removal or landscaping when required
Requirements
- Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred
- Pool Operator Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
