About the Role
Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North is seeking an experienced, highly organized Program Manager, Family Services to lead the day-to-day delivery of our Family Selection and Support Services. This is a full-time 12-month fixed-term contract. This position is eligible for our company-paid Benefits program. This is a unique role for someone who combines strong program administration and relationship-management skills with sound judgment, attention to detail, and compassion.
You will work directly with families who partner with Habitat throughout the family selection process, transition into their homes, and ongoing homeowner relationship. You will also coordinate closely with Finance, Construction/Project teams, Communications, volunteers, community organizations, and professional service providers.
The successful candidate will be comfortable independently managing complex files and sensitive situations while knowing when an issue requires consultation or escalation.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of Habitat’s Family Selection and Support Services.
- Support families from application and selection through occupancy and ongoing homeowner relationships.
- Manage confidential family, financial and administrative records and documentation.
- Coordinate Annual Income Reviews, payment-relief requests and other homeowner financial matters.
- Work closely with Finance, internal teams, volunteers, community partners and professional service providers.
- Apply established policies and procedures, resolve day-to-day issues, and identify matters requiring escalation.
- Track deadlines, commitments and follow-up to ensure consistent program delivery.
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in program administration, client/family services, housing, nonprofit services, financial administration or a related environment.
- Experience independently managing complex files, programs, client relationships or administrative processes.
- Strong judgment, organization, communication and relationship-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, documentation and follow-through.
- Comfort working with confidential and financial information and applying policies and procedures.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn new database and program-management systems.
- Housing, mortgage/financial services, social services, nonprofit or volunteer experience is an asset.

- Outline your proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and your experience effectively using databases, managing documentation, and program management systems.
