Blue Mountain Resorts is the leading snowmaking resort within the area. The snowmaking department is primarily responsible for providing the snow base for the timely opening of Blue Mountain Resorts skiable terrain, for the ultimate guest experience. Thereafter the snow base and snow quality are to be continually monitored and maintained to provide consistent and predictable ski conditions. Our snowmakers are expected to work closely with several other departments, including: Trail Grooming, Trail Maintenance, Ski Patrol and Special Events.

All duties of a snowmaker operator,
Monitor snowmaking equipment: starting/stopping of pumps, air compressors and snow guns.
Monitoring control center, updating and making changes as necessary.
Perform preventative maintenance work on the snowmaking system.
Assist with leak repairs in season
Installing new hydrant locations
Making adjustments to snow guns.
Trouble Shoot electrical and mechanical issues

Prior heavy equipment experience preferred.
Previous welding and fitting experience an asset
Past experience with operation of a snowmobile preferred.
Mechanically inclined.
Must be over the age of 18 (for vehicle insurance purposes)
