The Finance Director is a critical assignment that oversees all financial activities at Maplewave. They are responsible for managing financial risks, planning the company's financial strategy, and ensuring financial compliance with regulations. The Finance Director provides financial guidance to the Executive Leadership Team, prepares financial reports, and analyzes data to support company strategies. This role plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring cash flow to optimize the Maplewave's financial health and drive growth.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages and leads the financial planning and budgeting processes to ensure the organization's financial health and stability.
- Develops comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and financial plans that align with Maplewave’s strategic goals.
- Directs and oversees financial risk management efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks while maximizing opportunities for Maplewave’s financial growth and stability.
- Designs and implements financial initiatives that align with the Maplewave’s objectives and enhance long-term financial performance.
- Establishes and maintains compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards to uphold the integrity and transparency of Maplewave’s financial practices.
- Monitors and analyzes cash flow and financial performance to track the Maplewave’s financial health and identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Develops and implements cash flow forecasting models to optimize liquidity management and ensures adequate funds for operations.
- Utilizes advanced analytical tools to interpret and evaluate financial data, enabling informed decision-making processes within the organization.
- Offers strategic financial advice and guidance to senior leaders to support decision-making and drive Maplewave’s financial goals.
- Leads and manages the finance team to achieve departmental goals and enhance overall financial performance.
- Drives a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation within the finance team to optimize operations and ensures high standards of performance.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field. A master’s in business administration or finance is considered an asset.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
- a successful background in financial management, accounting, or related fields, with at least 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance, including leadership roles.
- strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting.
- knowledge of financial regulations and compliance, advanced Excel skills, the ability to make data-driven decisions, effective risk management capabilities, and a track record of successful financial planning and budgeting.
