Tria Products Ltd. is hiring for our erection crew. We install precast concrete, structural steel, and related building components on job sites across Manitoba. This is varied, hands-on construction work — no two jobs are the same.
Starting wage: $20.00/hour — we are willing to offer more for experienced candidates.
What you'll be doing
Erection & Installation
- Rigging, hoisting, and setting precast panels, beams, columns, and structural steel members
- Bolting up structural steel — beams, columns, joists, bracing, and deck
- Bracing, aligning, plumbing, and levelling to erection drawings and survey marks
- Welding connection plates and clips; torquing bolted connections
- Grouting, drypacking, caulking, and sealing joints
- Installing embeds, anchors, angles, and miscellaneous metals
Rigging & Equipment
- Working with the crane operator — hand signals, radio communication, tag lines
- Selecting and inspecting slings, shackles, chains, and rigging hardware
- Operating boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, and skid steers — training provided
- Loading, unloading, and securing product for transport
General Site Work
- Reading shop drawings, erection drawings, and site layout plans
- Measuring, layout, and checking elevations
- Working safely from scaffolds, ladders, and lifts with full fall protection
- Concrete work — forming, patching, and repairs as required
- Site preparation, material handling, housekeeping, and clean-up
- Participating in daily safety meetings, hazard assessments, and toolbox talks
What we're looking for
- Construction experience an asset — steel erection, precast, ironwork, framing, concrete, or general labour all count. We will train the right person.
- Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in all seasons
- Welding ability is a definite asset
- Valid driver's licence; willing to travel to job sites and stay out of town when required
- Physically fit — lifting, climbing, and a full day on your feet
- Safety-minded, dependable, works well on a small crew
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
