Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills in a fast-paced restaurant environment, contributing to the creation of high-quality dishes that delight our guests. Prior restaurant experience is preferred, but we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. The Prep Cook will play a vital role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, and maintaining food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring items according to recipes and standards
- Assist in the assembly of dishes during service, ensuring timely and accurate presentation
- Follow food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in all food handling areas
- Support the kitchen team with basic cooking tasks as needed
- Organize and stock prep stations with necessary supplies and ingredients
- Ensure proper storage of food items to prevent spoilage and cross-contamination
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of shortages or expired items
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work environment in compliance with health regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant settings is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food handling, and safety standards in the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends if needed
- Basic kitchen experience including familiarity with meal preparation and food service procedures

Pay: $18.25-$22.00 per hour
