About Us
Chantilly Forever Basketball Club is a growing youth basketball program focused on player development, competitive excellence, and creating a positive environment where athletes can reach their potential.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Basketball Lead Coach who wants to be part of building something long-term. This position is not only about coaching — it is an opportunity to help shape, grow, and develop our basketball club and its programs.
Position Overview
The Basketball Lead Coach will lead basketball training and player development while working closely with club leadership to build and grow the Chantilly Forever Basketball program.
The successful candidate will have a strong passion for coaching, but also the initiative and leadership skills to contribute to the development of the overall club.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoaching & Player Development
- Lead and deliver high-quality basketball practices and development sessions.
- Develop age-appropriate training plans focused on individual and team development.
- Teach fundamental basketball skills including shooting, passing, ball handling, footwork, defense, rebounding, and decision-making.
- Develop players' basketball IQ, confidence, discipline, and understanding of the game.
- Create an engaging, positive, competitive, and development-focused environment.
- Provide constructive feedback and ongoing support to players.
- Assist with team preparation and game-day coaching when required.
Club Development & Growth
- Work with club leadership to develop and grow the Chantilly Forever Basketball program.
- Help establish and maintain the club's basketball coaching philosophy and player development pathway.
- Assist with developing new basketball programs, teams, camps, clinics, training sessions, and other initiatives.
- Help identify opportunities to attract and develop new players and coaches.
- Contribute ideas to improve the overall player and family experience.
- Help build a strong basketball culture within the club.
- Represent Chantilly Forever Basketball professionally within the local basketball community.
- Assist with community outreach, basketball events, clinics, and promotional initiatives when required.
- Support the recruitment, mentoring, and development of additional basketball coaches as the program grows.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous coaching experience in youth basketball.
- Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals and player development.
- Experience working with children and youth athletes.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver organized, energetic, and engaging practices.
- Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to motivate players and build strong relationships with athletes and families.
- Basketball coaching certifications are considered an asset.
- Competitive playing experience is considered an asset.
- Experience developing or building a basketball program is considered an asset.

Schedule: Evening and weekend availability required

Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and responsibilities.
