Job purpose

Provide exemplary customer service to co-workers while working in a team environment
Encompass best practices in all aspects of safety policies and procedures
Adhere to all corporate safety policies while operating company machinery
Maintain and operate fabrication equipment to ensure continuous plant production

Duties and responsibilities

Become part of the team by communicating positively with lead-hand, co-workers, and supervisor
Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition
Loading and unloading glass will require crane operation and/or manual lifting
Ensure proper reading of tags for glass selection and review specifications for machine adjustments
Set up edging machines to have the correct fabrication specifications for glass orders
Sort and load glass on to fabrication equipment for edging completion while maintaining all safety policies and procedures
Inspect finished product for dimensions, quality finish and thickness and reject not within acceptable quality tolerance level
Mark tempering logo position when required as per glass specifications
Responsible for daily provisional standards inclusive of part replacement and maintaining clean water lines
Responsible for maintaining wheel stock
Responsible for proper disposal of broken glass and general housekeeping within the department
Adhoc requests throughout the plant as required


Positive attitude with customer service orientation
Responsive to change in priorities and immediate demands
Would prefer one or more years of metal, granite, stone or glass fabrication experience
Maximum manual lifting requirement of up to 75 lbs
Prefer Forklift certification
Prefer Crane certification
Will provide all training as required

Working conditions & Physical requirements

Must be able to consistently lift up to 75 lbs at plant location
Be able to maintain composure in a continuously changing environment
Be able to remain in an upright position for long periods of time
Daily and/or weekly overtime required, not to exceed statutory legislation
