We are looking for an intellectually-curious, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking professional who is passionate about people, products, and the modern workplace to join the team as an Operations Manager. The successful candidate will own success in key areas of the business and develop, implement and support Ignition's day-to-day activities. You’ll contribute significantly to enabling our high-performing team. What you will do:
Overseeing and executing new initiatives, from identifying needs to planning and delivery from a position of personal responsibility and ownership for final outcomes
Employing process improvement, optimization and making important decisions supporting Ignition's strategy
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver Ignition initiatives
Understand our business needs, mitigate issues, build and design solutions
Draw on experience managing complex teams and initiatives to success
You work in close collaboration with Ignition leads, staff, HR, campus teams, diversity and learning to support Ignition programming and act as the culture champion throughout various projects
Manage execution in areas of operational day-to-day and transformation activities, taking ownership and leading people mindfully toward successful outcomes
Leverage firm processes and programs for Ignition
Influencing progress on Ignition-wide initiatives; handling issues and escalations that arise, clearly reporting status and raising needs to ensure effective decision-making
Embedding diversity and inclusion practices within tactical and strategic execution of Ignition needs
Enable and promote a strong, diverse and inclusive cultural environment
Ensure optimum delivery and career growth for our people through client delivery support, upskilling and mentorship
Deliver meaningful impact to support the day-to-day activities of the Ignition Tax team
Demonstrate compassion, ability to identify with team members’ individual needs and employ empathy to solve complex business problems
What you bring to this role:
2-5 years of management experience working in a high-performance culture
Proven ability to take ownership of deliverables, bringing a business consultant mindset combined with clarity and speed of thought
Ability to identify, understand and articulate stakeholder needs, generate opportunities, and suggest approaches for addressing issues
Proven track record of teambuilding, relationship management, and dealing effectively with senior management
Experience working in a client-facing role with a passion for delivering high quality service and client satisfaction is an asset
Works effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands
A skilled communicator, both verbally and in writing, able to clearly communicate complex ideas, engage with individuals at all levels of the business and facilitate effective action
Operates with a large degree of autonomy and independently completes high quality work to meet established goals
Supports the delivery of others, both formally and informally providing support and guidance to ensure successful delivery across all of Operations’ areas of focus
A positive and open-minded attitude who values new ideas that are not their own
Interest in modern workplace culture and the evolution of hybrid work in the post-pandemic environment
This is a remote/hybrid position.
