Why is this role important?
Welcome Ted Rogers School of Management students we are excited to partner up with you on our Striving for Operational Excellence Case Competition . The case will be an open-ended strategy case where we are looking for students who can bring innovative, holistic, and tangible ideas to our team through design thinking and collaboration. This case will be presented by the Enterprise Operations team here at Loblaw and will include several speakers, mentors, and judges from across our business. There will be engaging content, real business problems, and opportunities to secure an internship through networking with our team.
What You’ll do:
The Enterprise Operations team is a central group that supports all of our banners and stores. We have Specialists in each region that are subject matter experts in areas such as Front End, Labour, and Center of Store that we leverage to drive results in our projects.
We are looking for 3 groups of 4 students (12 total) from Ted Rogers School of Management to work with us for 2 weeks on developing solutions to our case. Each group will be partnered up with a mentor from our team who will coach and provide direction regarding our business and operations.
Kickoff event/Networking: October 26th, 2021 (4pm – 7pm)
Presentation Day: November 10th ,2021 (2pm -5pm)
Wrap up event: November 10th, 2021 (5pm-6pm)
The Enterprise Operations team is looking for energetic students with bright ideas who share a passion for retail excellence. In the competition there will be students from both Ted Rogers School of Management and Smith School of Business competing head to head.
What You’ll Need:
At the top of your resume, please include the following: University, Program, Year of Study, List any other applicants you would like to work with in this competition (up to 4 students in a group).
We are looking for either a video or cover letter to be submitted along with your resume covering two topics. Your video should not exceed 90 secs and if you decide to do a cover letter it should be less than one page. If you decide to submit a video you can create a link in your resume that will take the team to your answers.
