Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, efficiency, and a passion for hospitality. Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering duties.
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Assist in setting up tables, cleaning dining areas, and maintaining a tidy work environment.
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service.
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Address guest inquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation protocols in accordance with health standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to sanitation standards.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy.
- Experience with food preparation, serving, and hospitality best practices is desirable.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
