Server - Part-time including Weekends
Shifts are from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Food Handler’s Permit (if employee does not have a Food Handler’s Permit when hired, it must be obtained within one month of employment);
2. Ability to observe discrepancies in procedure and equipment and communicate such in a professional and intelligent manner;
3. Required uniform worn at all times and hair worn away from face and covered;
4. Interested in working in an environment with elderly adults;
5. Patient and tactful when dealing with residents, family members, volunteers, visitors, physicians, staff and general public;
6. Willingness to perform a variety of repetitive tasks;
7. Willingness to accept training for procedures specific to this department;
8. Willingness to accept supervision and direction from supervisor and to work as a member of a team;
9. Ability to work independently;
10. Ability to get along with co-workers, demonstrate integrity and express a positive attitude and a sense of humor;
11. Must demonstrate and practice proper safety and lifting techniques at all times.
12. Model the Touchmark values in decision-making and in interactions with team members, residents, and guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance and punctuality;
2. Ability to read and write English and follow oral and written instructions;
3. Physically capable of turning, stooping, bending, stretching, moving equipment and performing other related tasks with the ability to lift up to 30 lbs;
4. Ability to tolerate standing for periods up to two hours at a time;
5. Ability to perform a variety of repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy within a noisy environment;
6. Ability to demonstrate and use proper safety and lifting techniques at all times;
7. After receiving the appropriate training, must be able to operate standard kitchen equipment required for position.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
1. Attend Stand-Up Meetings and Culinary Planning Meetings;
2. Maintain hand and working surface sanitation at all times, according to specifications;
3. Maintain a safe environment, to include keeping floor dry and free of debris which can cause falls;
4. Practice proper safety and lifting techniques;
5. Check menu for changes;
6. Keep supervisor apprised of all changes in equipment performance and the need for supplies;
7. Follow departmental guidelines for sanitation, using daily cleaning list for assignment;
8. Attend mandatory meetings of Dining Department and all-facility meetings;
9. Prepare for noon meal including stocking table supplies such as butter, creamer, salt and pepper;
10. Check with supervisor to see if assistance is needed for evening meal;
11. Make coffee for evening meal;
12. Fill water glasses with lemon and water for evening meal;
13. Set up coffee station with appropriate items (tea, juice, milk, lemons, etc.);
14. Sweep floors in kitchen area. Hose down the floor and apply appropriate floor cleaner; scrub and rinse;
15. Perform all other duties, as requested by supervisor(s), with a positive attitude.
16. Final candidate must produce a clear police check and be double vaccinated.
