About the Position:
The Systems Engineer is mainly responsible for the management of multiple functions within the End User Support team, with a focus on Desktop Operating systems, packages and patching. The incumbent will provide internal support for the End User(Desktop/Mobile computing) Technologies, Ceridian onboarding process as well as any other required support within End User Support.
The successful candidate will be drawing upon their experience, skills and product knowledge to determine root cause of escalated issues. The ability to effectively manage the communication of these issues and possible solutions to Leadership and the greater technology team is critical. Knowledge of VMWare, Active Directory, Azure AD, MFA and SSO technologies will assist in determining appropriate solutions and actions to take with respect to these issues.
Build, configure and deploy new software solutions
Serve as an internal subject matter expert, consultant and analyst to ensure high stakeholder satisfaction
Manage and own the investigation, analysis and resolution of issues reported on Ceridian’s core products and processes
Work proactively with the Engineering teams to diagnose and determine cause of issues encountered during support of the products
Help select tools and write scripts for automation and standard configuration
Maintain and help configure existing software, systems, and system tools
Assist in providing estimates of effort, material costs, etc.
Assist in documenting and reviewing team processes and procedures, and integrates into larger firm processes
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 3 - 5 years experience with supporting large production environments
MCP or VCP considered an Asset as well as any Cloud certifications
Strong problem-solving skills
Proven experience with technical trouble-shooting using multiple tools and methodologies
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Negotiation skills to manage conflicting needs and bring about consensus on issues
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively and estimate tasks within a project schedule
Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Defender suite
Experienced with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD
Extensive experience with Power Shell
