Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a keen interest in the food industry. As a Server, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, ensuring all requests are noted.
- Deliver orders to tables in a timely manner while ensuring proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, offering recommendations, and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Monitor tables for guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any needs or concerns.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while adhering to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations, to uphold sanitation standards.
- Assist with training new staff members on restaurant procedures and customer service expectations as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food service or hospitality industry is preferred, with a strong understanding of restaurant operations.
- Proficient in using POS systems, particularly Micros POS, with basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently manage multiple tables and prioritize tasks during busy periods.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive dining experience for guests.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food preparation and handling.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
