About Delta-T:
We are family-owned business based in Kelowna, BC and currently expanding into the Lower Mainland. Our services include HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, and commercial pool design. Projects include restaurants, hotels, apartment buildings, small tenant improvements, etc. We currently have a staff of 11 people who are a mix of in-office and hybrid/remote positions.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will design and draft projects independently with oversight from a mechanical engineer. Duties will also include driving to site reviews, attending meetings, and communication with clients, architects, other engineers, etc. to coordinate successful projects.
Location
Lower Mainland based. Position will start remote but will evolve into a hybrid role with time spent in an office most likely located in Vancouver or North/West Vancouver.
Required Qualifications:
- Software competencies: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
- Knowledge of BC Building Code (or National Building Code)
- Knowlege of Revit
- Experience in a consulting Mechanical Engineering firm specializing in building construction (HVAC, plumbing, pool, or fire suppression design)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and prioritizing to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Willing to travel locally and within BC for site reviews
Beneficial Qualifications:
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation
- Software competencies: Revit, Carrier HAP, Energy Modelling Software (IESVE or eQuest)
- Knowledge of relevant codes: NFPA 13, NFPA 96, ASHRAE 62.1, BC Pool Design Guidelines, CSA B149.1 etc.)
- Experience in energy modelling
- Experience in construction
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
