The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and success of Luca Restaurant. This role is accountable for delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving financial performance, developing a high-performing team, and maintaining the standards that define the Luca brand. The General Manager leads with integrity, professionalism, and a passion for hospitality, creating an environment where both guests and team members thrive.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Culture
- Lead, coach, and inspire the management team and hourly staff.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop future leaders.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Promote teamwork, communication, and employee engagement.
Guest Experience
- Ensure every guest receives warm, attentive, and memorable service.
- Lead by example on the restaurant floor during service.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.
- Maintain Luca's standards of hospitality, service, and presentation.
- Build relationships with regular guests and cultivate new loyal clientele.
Financial Performance
- Achieve revenue, profitability, and labour targets.
- Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve performance.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and cost controls.
- Oversee inventory management and minimize waste.
- Monitor purchasing practices and ensure accurate reporting.
Operations
- Ensure all restaurant operations run efficiently and consistently.
- Maintain excellence in food quality, beverage execution, cleanliness, and facility standards.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, liquor, and employment regulations.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless front- and back-of-house operations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous operational improvement.
Team Development
- Build strong management succession plans.
- Develop training programs and uphold service standards.
- Hold managers accountable while providing mentorship and support.
- Encourage professional growth and continuous learning.
Sales & Community Engagement
- Drive sales through exceptional hospitality and strategic initiatives.
- Support marketing campaigns, events, and promotional activities.
- Build relationships within the local community and business network.
- Maintain Luca's reputation as one of the city's premier dining destinations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of senior restaurant management experience, preferably in upscale or fine dining.
- Proven ability to lead large teams and develop leaders.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labour, and cost controls.
- Exceptional guest service and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and fine dining service standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
