Established by our president Caralyn in 1994, Caralyn’s Hair and Wig Design began as a salon space for everyone to look and feel their best. With Caralyn’s personal history handling the sensitivity of hair loss and cancer treatments in the salon environment, she knew she wanted to create a new space for those who wanted to still have the salon experience instead of an oftentimes clinical one. Opening our doors with warmth and care, we have now been serving the Ottawa area for many years and continue to educate ourselves on new techniques and top of the line treatments.

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, personable Hair Stylist to join our small team. We believe in quality over quantity, creative freedom, and building a relaxing atmosphere for both our clients and our stylists. We are looking for a confident stylist who is skilled in a full range of services, maintaining high sanitation standards, and providing clients with a memorable salon experience. Compensation will be discussed and is competitive based on experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, colour, treatments, and styling according to client preferences
- Deliver outstanding customer service by listening to client needs and offering expert advice
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all work areas, tools, and equipment
- Promote retail products and upsell services to enhance client experience and increase sales
- Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
Experience
- Certified Hair Stylist in Ontario
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Knowledge of hair styling techniques, sanitation procedures, and retail sales strategies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
