Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our automotive service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive automotive knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of vehicle repair and customer satisfaction. Previous dealership experience and mechanical expertise are highly valued to effectively coordinate service activities and foster a team-oriented environment. Pay is comprised of salary + monthly departmental bonus, the possibilities are endless.
You will be accountable for:
- Overseeing the service department and day to day operations.
- Forecasting goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
- Develop plans to maintain the highest level of Customer Satisfaction possible
- Review the KPI targets on a daily basis to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with OEM policies and procedures to maintain high quality of customer service and minimize comebacks, monitor warranty reports
- Coach, mentor, and motivate the service team to ensure that performance metrics and operational goals are consistently achieved.
- Perform quality control checks as required.
- Support employee professional development and coordinate with head office to determine the need for technical and apprenticeship training.
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with provincial, local regulations that affect service operations, such as WHMIS and OH&S
- Monitor Technicians' daily productivity reports.
- Foster relationships with other departments within the dealership
- Keep abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommend purchases
- Ensure the proper ROI and inventory of special tools
- Prepare pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labor operations
- Develop marketing and social media programs to help maintain and grow our competitive position within our area
- Attend related Hyundai training courses and professional development opportunities
- Other tasks as assigned
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A valid driver’s license and clean driver abstract.
- Experience managing vehicle service or parts operations would be beneficial
- Journeyman Automotive Technician or technical experience in the field is considered an asset.
- Experience in dealership accounting practices, budgeting, and expense management is an asset.
- Ability to be professional and deliver excellent customer service with integrity.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
- Strong leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and supervisory skills.

Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
