Join our dynamic team as a Junior Coordinator / Estimator and become a vital part of our construction projects! In this role, you'll support project planning and cost estimation processes, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing while assisting with project coordination. DUTIES:
- Assist Senior Estimator in preparing detailed HVAC estimates using industry-standard software such as Trimble AutoBID
- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather pricing, scope, and schedule information.
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify scope requirements and potential challenges.
- Support the negotiation process by analyzing bids and proposals to ensure competitive pricing and value.
- Request Installation, Operations and Maintenance manuals from suppliers and sub contractors and consolidate into binder for the client
- Ensure the shop and site employee's Safety records are up to date
- Contribute to project management tasks by tracking progress, deadlines, and resource allocation.
EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience or internship in construction estimating or project coordination is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with construction industry software such as Bluebeam, Procore, or similar tools is highly advantageous.
- Basic understanding of construction processes, terminology, and safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors or subcontractors.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams and stakeholders.
