Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Construct wood framing, install drywall boards, tape, mud, sand, and finish surfaces.
- Install waterproofing systems for bathrooms, shower enclosures, and wet areas prior to tiling.
- Perform basic plumbing installation for bathroom fixtures, including shower faucets, toilet bowls, and vanity faucets, as well as kitchen plumbing connections.
- Assemble and install prefabricated and custom kitchen cabinets, vanities, and hardware.
- Safely operate power tools, including wood-cutting and tile-cutting equipment.
- Lay and level floor surfaces and install hardwood, vinyl, laminate, and ceramic/porcelain tiles.
- Install doors, trim, baseboards, and interior finishings.
- Perform surface preparation, priming, and interior/exterior painting.
- Perform structural demolition, site cleanup, waste sorting, and garbage disposal.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of hands-on residential construction or renovation experience.
- Tools & Equipment: Experience safely operating tile cutters, miter saws, and trade-related hand tools.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license or reliable ability to arrive at the Langley office meet point daily for crew transportation.
- Physical Capabilities: Physically fit, able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), bend, stand for long periods, and work on active job sites.
