Our client is one of Vancouver, BC's premier private athletic clubs, offering members a first-class clubhouse, courts, fitness centre, and dining facilities in a beautiful Vancouver setting. Known for its collegial culture and high service standards, the Club is looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the upkeep and operational readiness of its buildings and grounds infrastructure.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Facilities Manager oversees the day-to-day maintenance, safety, and reliability of the Club's clubhouse and mechanical systems. You'll manage a small internal team, coordinate contractors, and ensure the facility consistently meets the elevated expectations of a member-focused private club environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance operations and manage a preventive maintenance program covering HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, and building envelope systems.
- Recruit, schedule, and supervise unionized facilities/custodial staff, and source and manage relationships with external contractors and trades.
- Manage the department's operating budget, support capital improvement projects, and chair the Occupational Health & Safety Committee.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of progressive experience in facilities or building maintenance management, ideally in a hospitality, private club, or hotel setting.
- Trade certification or technical training (building maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing) preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Proven experience supervising staff and coordinating contractors in a unionized environment, with strong budget and vendor negotiation skills.
- Working knowledge of BC building codes, WorkSafeBC requirements, and fire/life safety regulations; valid BC driver's license required.
