Founding Marketing Associate — Bilingual Korean and English
About Eklan
Eklan is building the communication-performance infrastructure for the multilingual global workforce.
Our AI-powered platform helps multilingual professionals practise high-stakes workplace conversations, receive personalized feedback and communicate with clarity and confidence when it matters most.
About the role
We are looking for a creative, analytical and highly resourceful Founding Marketing Associate who is professionally fluent in Korean and English.
You will work directly with the founder to build Eklan’s bilingual content and customer-acquisition engine from the ground up. You will help develop content ideas, write short-form video scripts, coordinate production, manage social-media publishing, engage prospective customers, respond to marketing enquiries and optimize our Meta Ads campaigns.
This is not a role focused solely on impressions, followers or likes. Your work should help Eklan generate qualified leads, book discovery calls and acquire customers.
As our first dedicated marketing hire, you will have significant ownership over how Eklan presents itself to the world. You will also help build the systems, calendars and playbooks that future marketing team members will inherit.
What you will do:
Content strategy and scriptwriting
- Co-develop marketing campaigns and content ideas with the founder.
- Research the needs, concerns and ambitions of Korean nurses pursuing international careers.
- Turn customer conversations, product developments and market insights into compelling content.
- Write short-form video scripts for Instagram Reels and other relevant platforms.
- Write effective hooks, captions, headlines and calls to action in Korean and English.
- Adapt content naturally between Korean and English rather than translating word for word.
- Help develop and maintain Eklan’s bilingual brand voice.
- Experiment with different content formats, messages and distribution strategies.
- Use AI tools to improve research and production while maintaining accuracy, originality and cultural relevance.
Content production and publishing
- Prepare clear production briefs for video editors and other creative contributors.
- Coordinate editing schedules, deadlines, revisions and approvals.
- Review edited videos for message accuracy, subtitles, pacing, visual quality and brand consistency.
- Ensure approved videos are ready for publication by the required deadline.
- Maintain and manage Eklan’s social-media content calendar.
- Schedule and publish content across Eklan’s social-media platforms.
- Maintain an organized library of scripts, raw footage, edited videos and campaign assets.
- Coordinate freelancers, editors, designers and other contractors when required.
Social-media and community management
- Monitor comments, questions and direct messages across Eklan’s social-media channels.
- Respond promptly and professionally in Korean or English.
- Answer routine questions and direct prospective customers to the appropriate next step.
- Escalate sensitive, clinical, payment or technical matters to the appropriate person.
- Identify frequently asked questions that could become future content.
- Help Eklan build a trusted and engaged community of multilingual professionals.
- Monitor audience engagement and recommend ways to improve content performance.
Lead generation and conversion
- Create content designed to generate qualified enquiries and discovery calls.
- Guide interested prospects toward workshops, assessments, discovery calls or suitable Eklan programs.
- Follow up with prospective customers who express interest in Eklan.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, booked calls and outcomes.
- Identify common objections and recommend improvements to Eklan’s messaging.
- Test different offers, landing-page messages and calls to action.
- Track which content and campaigns generate qualified leads and customers.
- Work with the founder to improve Eklan’s lead-to-customer journey.
Marketing email management
- Monitor marketing enquiries received through Eklan’s designated email accounts.
- Respond clearly, warmly and promptly in Korean and English.
- Answer prospective customers’ questions about Eklan’s programs and services.
- Ensure promising enquiries receive appropriate and timely follow-up.
- Develop reusable bilingual email templates and follow-up sequences.
- Categorize enquiries and maintain accurate customer records.
- Escalate partnership, technical, payment or sensitive customer matters when necessary.
Meta Ads management
- Monitor and manage Eklan’s ongoing Meta advertising campaigns.
- Review campaign audiences, budgets, placements and creative performance.
- Develop new advertising concepts, copy and creative variations.
- Launch and monitor approved campaign experiments.
- Track click-through rate, conversion rate, cost per lead, booked calls and customer-acquisition cost.
- Identify underperforming advertisements and recommend adjustments.
- Monitor the quality—not merely the quantity—of leads generated.
- Ensure campaign links, tracking and attribution are functioning correctly.
- Prepare a concise weekly report explaining performance, insights and recommended actions.
- Allocate approved advertising budgets toward the campaigns producing the strongest results.
Build Eklan’s marketing function
- Establish repeatable workflows for content creation, review and publication.
- Build editorial calendars, campaign trackers, reporting dashboards and marketing playbooks.
- Recommend new channels and experiments that could reach Eklan’s ideal customers.
- Analyze performance, expand what works and discontinue ineffective activities.
- Bring forward ideas and solutions instead of waiting only for assigned tasks.
- Help shape Eklan’s positioning, brand and approach to the Korean market.
- Support the recruitment and coordination of future marketing contractors or team members as Eklan grows.
