Description
We are an established construction contractor specializing in commercial, institutional, and public-sector projects throughout Ontario, including schools, fire stations, municipal buildings, and other government facilities. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on General Foreman to join our growing team.
This is a working leadership position for someone who enjoys being on the tools, operating equipment, and leading crews by example.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise crews of up to 10 employees.
- Coordinate daily site activities to meet project schedules.
- Read drawings and perform construction layout.
- Build wood blocking, parapets, temporary structures, and other rough carpentry work.
- Operate small equipment.
- Safely use a wide variety of hand and power tools.
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, site superintendents, subcontractors, and clients.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial or institutional construction experience.
- Previous experience leading construction crews.
- Strong rough carpentry skills.
- Experience reading construction drawings and performing layout.
- Experience operating equipment.
- Proficient with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of building envelope systems, including air/vapour barriers and rigid insulation, is an asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid G Driver's Licence.

Pay: $35.25-$55.75 per hour
