About the Role
We're looking for a Project Manager to take full ownership of our concrete division's operations, including estimating, budgeting, crew execution and planning, and customer collections. This is a role with real autonomy: you'll set priorities, manage a team's workload, own the P&L conversation for your division, and drive the process improvements that increase margin. You'll also play a direct role in growing the business by identifying and securing new customer relationships.
Primary Responsibilities
Project & Financial Ownership
- Own the estimating process for all tenders, contracted projects, and residential work — ensuring pricing protects margin while remaining competitive
- Manage invoicing and full-cycle receivables, holding a 30-day collection standard
- Track every active job against schedule and budget, proactively managing risk and reporting variances
- Drive process and procedure improvements in partnership with leadership to increase productivity and profitability
Team & Field Leadership
- Plan, organize, and schedule the concrete crew across surveying, repair, and service work
- Direct daily workload and job assignments, adjusting crew allocation as priorities shift
- Serve as the escalation point for on-site issues, working directly with crews to resolve problems and keep jobs on track
- Run daily communication with field teams to stay current on job status and ensure accurate, timely records
Procurement & Systems
- Manage procurement of materials and labour required to complete work orders on time and on budget
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the company's job-management system — materials, job notes, crew updates, work orders, hazard assessments, and site documentation
- Lead the ongoing integration of the concrete division into company-wide business systems and workflows
Business Development
- Proactively strengthen relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities to expand scope, win repeat work, and increase share of wallet within current accounts
- Collaborate with the sales team to support pursuit of new customers — providing technical input, estimating support, and credibility in client-facing conversations
- Join client meetings and site visits alongside sales as needed to represent the concrete division's capabilities and build trust with prospective customers
- Track customer satisfaction and follow up proactively on completed jobs to strengthen customer relationships and achieve repeat business.
- Provide feedback to sales and leadership on market conditions, competitor activity, and customer needs to help shape pricing and business development strategy
- Act as a key relationship owner for top accounts, ensuring consistent communication and service delivery that supports retention and referrals
