Job Summary:
As an Automation Technician at SORSYS Technologies, you'll play a vital role in electrical, controls, and automation troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and calibrations. Working collaboratively within a team, you'll contribute to the development of new electrical architectures and the reduction of non-value-added activities or costs. Your efforts will be focused on maintaining or improving quality, productivity, and project timeliness. Key responsibilities include in electrical control panel design and assembly, client-site installations, and document preparation (including design documents and end-user manuals).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or College Diploma in electrical, controls, automation, or systems design
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Ability to travel to US with short notice
- Proficiency in AUTOCAD-Electrical
- Experience working with standard codes
- Possession of a valid Class G or G2 driver's license and a reliable vehicle for transportation.
Beneficial Qualifications:
- Experience in process control and automation
- Previous work in an industrial environment
- Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Servo Systems
- Experience in programming vision systems and networking
- Strong desire to learn and the ability to work independently
- Willingness to modify work hours and shifts on short notice as required
- Performs other duties as assigned or any reasonable request by management
- Organized, flexible, persistent, and proactive work ethic
