The City of Cold Lake is seeking a qualified individual to fill the full-time,16 month term position of Cold Lake Family Resource Network Facilitator with the Community Services Department.
Reporting to the FCSS Family Services Coordinator, this position is responsible for:
- Coordinating, developing, implementing, and evaluating parent education and early childhood development through universal, targeted, and intensive programs.
- Collaborating with agencies, organizations, families, and volunteers to develop quality family and child-oriented programs.
- Facilitating evidence-based parent education and development milestones to improve the well-being of individuals and families.
- Serving as a front-line contact in the delivery of programs to the families of Cold Lake and surrounding areas.
- Early childhood development, social work, or a human services certificate/diploma, and/or appropriate life experiences and personal characteristics.
- Understanding of the theory and practice of evidence-based family support service delivery and early childhood development, and knowledge of the Attachment Theory, child development, and developmental milestones.
- Strong computer skillset, communication skills, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to cultural sensitivity.
- Knowledge of the community, its local resources, and how to make effective referrals.
- A satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Child Intervention Record Check, and a Class 5 Driver’s License.
The wage for this position is $31.02 per hour, 35 hours per week. The selected candidate will be required to work days, evenings, and weekends depending on programming.
This position is within the scope of AUPE Local 118/016, and as such you will be required to adhere to articles contained within the Collective Agreement.
